If sushi sashimi and sake bombs consume your midnight cravings, then a late-night sushi joint is the right place for you. Yokohama Sushi in east Boca is open till 2 a.m., serving made-to-order sushi and traditional Japanese dishes.
Yokohama has a decent selection of imported Japanese beer, wine and sake. They also have a special half-price menu of 20 traditional sushi rolls that are cheaper because the portions are smaller.
“The late nights on Wednesdays are really good,” says server Rob Holly, a senior psychology major at FAU. He’s also a Jersey boy who speaks fluent Japanese.
The back room, called the Tatami Room, has a $25 minimum per person, but it’s the VIP spot. It seats up to six, and you will be waited on hand-and-foot to ensure an enjoyable experience. Your food will even be made first if the restaurant is busy. Yokohama is also camera-friendly, so if you and your friends take a picture while hanging out there, bring it and they will put it on the wall with numerous others.
